Luke had his Pinewood Derby last weekend. It was a beautiful day for them. He had such a nice time working on it with Scott.
Books
I finished listening to Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey. What an interesting story! If you're looking for a good audiobook, pick this one up!
I listened to the audiobook of Such a Fun Age. I honestly didn't love it. I expected a lot more from it for some reason. I know a lot of people really love it though.
I also listened to The Death of Mrs. Westaway. I think that rounded out the Ruth Ware books for me. This was probably my least favorite of her books but I I still found it to be a great listen. (Sidenote: Imogen Church narrates Ruth Ware's audiobooks and I love listening to her voice)
I read and finished The Four Winds. What a beautiful story that is. There were so many elements that resonated with me - the motherhood side, the strong female friendships, the tenacity of Elsa and her children. It was one of my favorites so far this year. If you haven't read it, do yourself a favor and get it.
Clothes
I am a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl. I think nothing is better than a white tee and jeans and I am obsessed with my new favorite white tee (maybe not favorite because this one is my forever favorite). I love the looseness and the neckline. It's perfect.
I bought this white button down from Mother Oxford after I saw Neha from Mother Untitled wearing it. I got so many compliments the day I wore. It's big and roomy and has a thick fabric that for some reason doesn't feel heavy. I bought these elastics that are so helpful for rolling up your sleeves.
I really am loving my jeans from AYR. I have both The Chiller and The Bomb Pop (which I'm playing around with styling). I have super short legs and I love that they come in 25" inseam because they fit me perfectly without hemming. I also have this long sleeve striped tee that's perfect for everyday running around. I think I want to get this plain white button down next.
As I've said, I have short legs which means I have a long torso. I have never owned a one piece bathing suit in my adult life because they just don't fit my long torso. I finally bought two this year that work and are super flattering! This one from Summersalt is extremely flattering and so is this leopard one from J Crew.
This is another long sleeved tee that I live in from Free People. I bought it last year in a bright orangey red color and it's a great shirt to throw on and go in. I think I'm going to get it in another color or two.
Kids
We finally broke out the egg decorating kit that uses markers and spins. My kids loved doing it. After they decorated the eggs they had an Easter egg hunt (which they love to do year round actually).
I bought this new logic game called Invasion of the Cow Snatchers for Luke and it's a lot of fun. It's similar to the Gravity Maze which we also have and love.
Penny has been obsessed with her Twisty Petz. I just ordered her this set for her Easter basket.
Penny has been wearing headbands lately and I got her two new ones from Crewcuts. I gave her this one and kept this one for her Easter basket.
Miscellaneous
I have been following Jordan Harper on Instagram. She's a dermatologist that gives great advice. She has a skin quiz link on her website. I took the quiz and I'm slowly buying new products that she recommends when I run out it. I just started these toning pads and this new eye cream.
I bought these affirmation cards recently and love the set.
I started using Emily Ley's simplified planner and love it. I like that each day has a list for to dos and there's room for notes at the bottom of each page. I also bought these pens to use with it and they're great.
