This and That

I wasn't feeling very well this week. Between my vicious migraines that lasted all week and getting Invisalign (it really is like having braces - who knew!) I have just felt a bit out of it. Little things have been helping me get by like my ice roller and the Wander eye masks. I'm excited to give the kids their Valentine's Day bags. We've had such an outpouring of love this year from friends and family surrounding Valentine's Day. From cookie decorating kits and bags of candy and treats dropped at our front door, my kids have been so lucky. As I roll into this Valentine's Day weekend I trying to focus on being grateful for all that we have - which is each other.
What I'm Reading:
I finished Head Over Heels. I absolutely loved it. I think it's one of my favorite light romances.
I also read Verity which honestly took me 2 days. It was a great thriller with a twist I didn't see coming. If you read it, what did you think?
I'm listening to Party of Two on the Libby app. I really enjoy Jasmine Guillory's books.
I plan to read Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert next.

What My Kids Are Reading:
Penny picked out some more of the Little People, Big Dreams books. She has quite a collection at this point. We just got Aretha Franklin and Prince.
What We're Watching:
We watched the Britney Spears documentary on Hulu this week. How sad. I feel like everyone surrounding Britney has failed her. If you've watched, what did you think?
I'm also finally getting around to finishing Season 4 of The Crown. Scott says it puts him to sleep so it's something I watch on my own when I can find the time.
Still watching Reign. It's gone a bit off the rails but it's an easy show to put on and look at my phone at the same time.
What I'm Wearing:
Mostly workout outfits these days. I've been working out in one and then changing into a new one after I shower. I mean, what is there to get dressed for anymore? Especially with this terrible weather we have lately. I love my Beyond Yoga leggings for how soft they are. I don't typically work out in them unless I'm doing mostly stretching or a lowkey pilates class. They are honestly so comfortable. I also love the Lululemon Align leggings for working out and for lounging around. They too are super soft. When I'm not working out I pair them with my Varley sweatshirts or a Dudley Stephens fleece. I just ordered some new Athleta stuff that I'll get back to you on.
I love these H&M pajamas that I have been living in. Neha from Mother Untitled and Courtney Grow both recommended and I take both their opinions seriously.
I need a pair of warm, short snowboots. Any recommendations please let me know!
What My Kids Are Playing With:
Since my kids loved making the heart crayons we decided to extend the crayon making to letters. We bought these molds and this box of crayons (so much easier than peeling off the wrapper). They had a lot of fun making their names, friends' names and sight words.
We love board games. And this week we've been playing Animal Act over and over. It's like charades and is easy for little ones to play.
What I'm Excited About:
I bought tickets to a virtual Bitch Sesh live show. I love the podcast so much and Danny Pellegrino is a guest (who is another favorite).
I just got this Dior Nail Glow and I love it. I had it years ago and completely forgot about it. With my lack of manicures these days it makes it easy to add a little clear pink sheen to my nails.
Penny had been waking up at night because she's scared of the dark. My friend recommended a salt lamp. I bought this one and Penny has not come into our room since.
I love this Tata Harper resurfacing mask.
Tell me what's going on with you.
