This week flew by. No? Just me?
What I'm Reading:
I listened to the audiobook of One by One by Ruth Ware. I've really enjoyed all of Ware's books but this was probably my least favorite of the ones I've read. I don't know if it was too similar to The Guest List or what but it wasn't my favorite. I think I'm in the minority with this one though. Though I read it super quickly and I finished in a few days.
I finally started to get into Writers and Lovers. People have likened it to Sweetbitter which I loved so I'm eager to get a bit further in.
I just started The Wife Upstairs on audiobook and so far so good.
What My Kids Are Reading:
Penny really loves this Usborne book of things to spot. We've had it for years and she always pulls it out. I'm thinking of getting a few of the other ones they make.
What We're Watching:
Still just watching Bling Empire which I'm obsessed with though I hate everyone.
What I'm Wearing:
The few times I put on jeans I have put this Madewell sweater on with them. It has been sold out for awhile but there are a few sizes available now on sale.
I've also been living in my APL sneakers when I walk the dog or run the kids to school. I love that they slip on and they're so comfy. I'm thinking about getting another color.
It is so cold here so I'm throwing on my Barefoot Dreams robe and Ugg slippers most mornings and nights.
I bought a bunch of EvolveTogether masks for myself and Scott and the kids. They're comfortable and if they are as effective as they claim to be I feel pretty comfortable going into the places we need to these days.
What My Kids Are Playing With:
These Crayola pastels have been our go to when we're doing anything creative these days.
Penny loves this Disney Princess Style Collection set.
Penny loves the Slumberkin unicorn that she got for Christmas. The book is so sweet and she loves sleeping with the stuffed animal. I bought her the Hedgehugs for Valentine's Day and I think she's going to love it.
What I'm Excited About:
I am officially reiki 1 certified. That means I am able to practice reiki on myself. It was a magical 2 days of training and now I'm in my 21 day cleanse of practicing reiki daily. I really feel balanced and calm. I'm looking forward to learning how to do it on others.
We booked a long weekend in October in Montauk for my cousin's wedding. I know it's 9 months away but it's something to look forward to. I can't wait until warmer weather.
I LOVE the GoopGlow products that I've been using lately. I drink the GoopGlow superpowder every morning and I really like how it tastes. Not sure if it's that or the other products that are making my sk I use the peel once a week and my skin looks super glowy the next day. I also love the exfoliator once or twice a week in the morning.
I have become obsessed with products from The Laundress. I use the bleach alternative as a soak when the kids clothes are super soiled or there's a stain I know won't come out. I also like to throw a capful or 2 in the washer. I use their sports detergent for workout clothes, whites detergent and delicates wash as well.
Penny has been wearing her Alice and Ames dresses a lot recently. I love that they're cotton and easy to throw on. She loves how twirly they are.
Tell me what's going on with you.
